After doing a unit on media, one Seattle student reported:
"I used to be able to just watch TV and relax. Now I have to think about it."
Critical thinking will keep your biography from being entitled "Gullible’s Travels." It allows your brain to sift through media messages and sort out which ones are trying to get at your emotions, and which ones are aimed at your mind, keeping in mind that most media messages have one true target: your wallet.
